Advantage Ecological Solutions, LLC (937-367-4137) offers mold inspections and mold assessments plus testing and sampling. Advantage also writes remediation specifications and provides remediation oversight then post remediation testing. Advantage also offers general indoor air quality (IAQ) surveys and Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs). Advantage provides services for residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Residential Mold Inspection - This service includes a visual inspection of the whole house interior and exterior, including attics, garages, and crawl spaces if any. A field report is completed on site which includes all findings and recommendations. This service is designed to apply when no mold problem is evident or if a minor mold problem is suspected. This inspection can also be included as part of the normal inspection routine in any residential real estate transaction.
IAQ Mold Assessment - This assessment includes a complete visual inspection of a building both interior and exterior. Testing in every room for temperature, relative humidity, and carbon dioxide is also included in this assessment. A moisture meter survey will also be completed in areas where moisture problems are evident. Photographs are taken to document any findings and a comprehensive written report is completed which includes all readings, measurements, and observations along with recommendations for any observed conditions.
Background Sampling for Remediation - At least three Air-O-Cell(R) air samples for mold are taken to document an existing mold problem. The sample analysis results are used to develop specifications for professional remediation of the existing mold problem. A written report is generated to explain the results of the sample analysis. Larger buildings or more extensive mold problems may require more than three air samples.
Remediation Specifications - After a mold problem is identified and background sampling has been completed remediation specifications (protocol) may be written. These specifications are a comprehensive guide for the professional remediators and include all information collected at the site along with specific remediation instructions and general information on safety, health, and environmental regulations that apply to this type of remediation work. Post remediation testing targets are also included in these specifications.
Post Remediation Testing - This testing is defined by the post remediation testing targets and includes the duplication of the background testing and additional tests to determine if the post remediation targets have been met. If the post remediation targets have not been met then specific written instructions will be completed to enable the remediators to complete the job and further post remediation testing will be required.
General IAQ Testing - Advantage can sample and test air, surfaces, or bulk materials to identify most IAQ issues. Testing may be conducted for mold, bacteria, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), or allergens. This testing always includes a written report with all findings, observations, conclusions, and recommendations.
Phase I ESA - This is an environmental risk assessment of a property completed to ASTM standards and includes a historical background search, a property walk over, a current government record search, and interviews with people that may have knowledge of past and present activities that may impact the environmental risk associated with the property. A comprehensive written report is included in this service.
